The scholarship supports Master of Science (MSc) studies in Hungary in agriculture-related fields for nationals of eligible low- and lower-middle-income countries and territories, including Nigeria. Through this programme, Hungary contributes to strengthening the knowledge base of partner countries’ agrifood sectors. By the autumn semester of 2025, 419 students from 50 countries had received support under the programme.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, the MSc programmes offered in English include:
- Agricultural Biotechnology (Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences),
- Animal Nutrition and Feed Safety Engineering (Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences)
- Plant Protection (University of Debrecen)
The scholarship covers application and tuition fees (including basic books and notes), dormitory accommodation, subsistence costs, and health insurance.
