FAO–Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme 2026–2027: Applications open (deadline: 28 February 2026)

The Embassy of Hungary in Abuja is pleased to inform interested applicants that the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has launched the FAO–Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The scholarship supports Master of Science (MSc) studies in Hungary in agriculture-related fields for nationals of eligible low- and lower-middle-income countries and territories, including Nigeria. Through this programme, Hungary contributes to strengthening the knowledge base of partner countries’ agrifood sectors. By the autumn semester of 2025, 419 students from 50 countries had received support under the programme.

The scholarship covers application and tuition fees (including basic books and notes), dormitory accommodation, subsistence costs, and health insurance.
