On 17th October 2019, the Nigerian agricultural minister, Mohammed Sabo Nanono, has commissioned the Hungarian Demonstration Plot that has been established at the HQ of the National Agricultural Seed Council in Sheda, FCT. On the 0.4 hectare land we demonstrate the effect of the Hungarian agric invention called Water Retainer (an organic soil conditioner) with the involvement of two Hungarian hybrid maize varieties and two tomato varieties. The official trials on the tomato varieties will start from spring 2020 in cooperation with the National Horticultural Research Institute (NIHORT) and supervised by the Hungarian Agricultural Innovation Centre (a.k.a NAIK).
