For the first time, Hungary participated with its own national stand at the Medic West Africa 2024, the most important healthcare exhibition in West Africa, between 17 and 19 April 2024 in Lagos. Among the exhibitors from all over the world, five Hungarian companies were given the opportunity to present their products. Celitron showcased its hospital hazardous waste management technology, Control-X Medical its mini X-ray equipment, Medicor its neonatal medical equipment, Norma Instruments its in- vitro diagnostics and innovative blood testing equipment, while the Hungarian developed AST dietary supplements were represented by the exporting company's managing partner. On the last afternoon of the exhibition, the First Nigerian-Hungarian Healthcare Business Forum was held, to which key players in the Nigerian healthcare sector were invited. The series of events was concluded with the commissioning of the new office of Nigerian-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the Business Forum.
