For the first time in the Sub-Saharan Africa, the Embassy of Hungary presented Son of Saul, an Oscar-winning Hungarian movie to Nigerian and international audiences. As a further specialty of the event, the film's director, László Nemes Jeles presented the movie in a half-hour interactive chat via Skype before the screening.
The event was co-organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Abuja in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel, and the Brazilian Embassy, provided the venue for the screening. Son of Saul's debut was also an outstanding part of the commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, held for the first time in Nigeria.
