The Embassy - in response to the invitation of the Nigerian Teqball Federation - participated in the Nigerian qualifying tournament of this year's World Teqball Championship (Bangkok, Thailand) from 21-24 September 2023, where the Embassy expressed its support and commitment to the Hungarian sport and further deepened the sport-diplomatic ties between Hungary and Nigeria. The event in Abuja was attended by Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, who in addition to being the President of the Nigerian Teqball Federation, is also the President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee. The Embassy awarded the winners of the competition categories with small gifts.
