The performances of the group Talamba are always truly exceptional. Talamba, the very talented Hungarian music group, already performed in Spain, Belgium, France, Russia, but it was the first time that a Hungarian percussion group embraced the audience in Africa. The creativity for which the band is renowned energized the spectators in the hall of the American International School of Abuja in September of 2018 (and on the next day in Blu Cabana restaurant). The music team of the school worked together with the Talamba group since summer, and their work was carried out under the careful and professional guidance of music director Blake Panting. With the Afri Theater group in Nigeria and with the musicians of the school, a special musical connection with Talamba was created. Nigerian musicians also came to know new instruments and music that Talamba represented.

This is now a personal relationship. Talamba will play yoruba, hausa and igbo rhythms in all of its performances, bringing Hungary and Nigeria closer together.

It might be an often-used expression, but music really connects us, and connects the world.  Talamba unites the Hungarian music and music of various continents perfectly. Their production always reflects the diversity of the world’s peoples and cultures, in connection with our history and traditions.

“With Talamba, an unforgettable experience and a great time for all are guaranteed. Percussion and brass instruments, familiar tunes, served up as only Talamba knows how...”
