A 19-member delegation from the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit attended a two-week cyber defence training course at the National University of Public Service from 6 to 17 March 2023. The training was organized by Dr. Csaba Krasznay docent, Director of Eötvös József Research Centre's Cyber Security Research Institute, who, in addition to the professional training, provided the opportunity to NFIU team to meet with other domestic partner organizations, such as financial trainers of National Tax and Custom Administration, the National Bureau of Investigation's Cyber Crime Investigation Department and members of the Hunity Defence consortium.

The training was made possible after the National University of Public Service signed a training and information sharing cooperation agreement with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit in early 2023. Dr. Hussaini Umar, President of NIDO (Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation) in Hungary, was a great help both in preparation of the memorandum of understanding and in organising the visit of the delegation.
