A successful cultural event took place in the garden of the Trade Office in Lagos, on the 29th of May 2019, with the participation of about 230 people.

In addition to the several cultural programmes organized by the International Women Society (IWS) and the TWINS, the Trade Office organized a trade show of the works of several Hungarian firms, such as the Hollóháza Porcelain Manufacture, wine producing companies, and artworks of Hungarian artists: Kata Simon and Magdolna Császár.

We offered our guests homemade Hungarian Goulash soup, pancakes with homemade jam from local fruits, Törley sparkling wine, and the famous Tokaji wine as well.

In the framework of an interactive programme, we organized a joint project with our visitors, and we prepared a colourful rug from waste Nigerian textile materials.

The event was visited by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Art and Culture of the Lagos Government, as well as members of several diplomatic missions, such as the Honorary Consul of Hungary, the chairman and members of the Nigerian Association of Artists in Lagos, the presidency and members of IWS, the Twins Association together with nearly 40 twins, and almost 40 students. The Diplomat magazine, The Guardian newspaper and local televisions reported on the event as well.
